OJ's RPG Origins adds D&D-inspired Origins, class-themed equipment, and combat mechanics to Minecraft, designed to work alongside the Forge or Fabric Origins mod. Its available Origins include Archer, Bard, Cleric, Mage, Thief, Brute, Berserker, and Variant Human on Forge, plus Scout, Noble Bard, Barbarian, Acolyte, Fire Mage, Bandit, and Tav Human on Fabric. The Variant Human can choose a skill and a feat, while other examples tie starting gear or abilities to a role: Archers use bows and can craft arrows at a fletching table, Thieves can turn invisible while crouching, and Bards use a lute to buff themselves and their party. Sapphire ore generates across all three dimensions; smelting it yields sapphire for crafting, including a full sapphire armor set described as one tier above Netherite and a matching set of tools. Custom weapons have distinct combat effects: Life Hunt sweeps up to three nearby mobs, slowing them and stealing life; the Sapphire Staff launches fireballs; the Whelm Bow can fire three arrows at once; and the Harmonic Lute provides buffs. Other class-linked weapons include Sapphire Misery, which grants resistance when its rage ability is activated, and Balmung, an area-of-effect claymore; the mod also includes an upgraded Scythe of the Reaper with a wider sweep, stronger life steal, and an area effect that buffs its wielder and weakens nearby foes. Thieves' Gloves let players steal items from villagers, with the Forge version offering configurable behavior and a Curios slot, while the Fabric version uses a simpler, unconfigurable interaction. The mod supports Better Combat for its weapons, and Better Combat is optional.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Server and world logicChanges 1 game code file in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules..
Adds 6 blocks, 21 items and 30 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found in the parts we could check
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
2 of its files for recent versions cannot be checked: its author does not let other sites download them from CurseForge.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends, in the 2 of its 4 files we read
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
