About
Provi's Origins is an addon for Origins that adds nine original origins, along with reusable power types, actions, and conditions for expanding Origins gameplay and creating other addons or datapacks. Its origins are Lily of the Void, Kraken of Decay, Drakling, Jelly Sculk, Splinter, Faerie Moth, Alraune, Homunculus, and Crystalliser. Their playstyles include the Lily of the Void absorbing plants for temporary effects instead of eating food or using potions, the Kraken of Decay managing a draining Death's Vice resource that recharges near soul fire or soul lanterns, and the Drakling using stamina-limited elytra flight while being restricted to chainmail or weaker armor. Other origins bring distinct exploration and combat approaches: the fragile Jelly Sculk detects living entities through vibrations and can double jump, the Faerie Moth spends Faerie Dust to support allies and put enemies to sleep, and the Alraune summons minions and benefits from favored biomes. The Crystalliser can spend Crystal Shards to heal or unleash high damage at the cost of greater vulnerability, while the Homunculus gains experience more readily but cannot benefit from splash potions. The added tools for custom origin design include actions such as double jumps, raycast teleports, clone and minion summons, and projectile firing, as well as conditions for checking nearby entities, team membership, visibility, and block collision. These additions are designed to be reused beyond the mod's own origins, giving datapack and addon creators new ways to build data-driven powers and interactions.
