    About

    Resource Chickens is a resource-gathering mod built around finding, converting, and breeding chickens that produce useful drops. You can discover chicken varieties, breeding combinations, and their drops through JEI or REI, and convert many ordinary chickens by repeatedly applying the item they are meant to produce; One Probe or Jade can show how many applications remain. Breeding two chickens produces a chick that inherits its parents’ stats and can gain further Growth, Gain, and Strength, with higher stats making adult chickens produce drops faster and in greater quantities. Capture chickens with an Animal Capture Net and place them in a Nest, which needs seeds to operate and stores their drops or sends them into an inventory below; wheat, melon, pumpkin, and beetroot seeds are supported. Nests can also output liquid eggs to tanks or a cauldron, and chickens can produce compostable items; energy eggs act as single-use batteries, while nests can charge RF storage blocks. The mod includes XP chickens whose solidified XP drops can be consumed, and configurable options for chicken names, breeding times, conversion items, egg colours, and feeding items.
