Rotting is a zombie-survival mod built around an infection that evolves gradually over time, making zombies increasingly dangerous. Vanilla zombies can gain abilities such as resisting sunlight, moving faster at night, breaking doors, leaves, and glass, appearing in hordes, and turning invisible. The mod adds distinct variants, including a knockback-dealing Bone Zombie, a minecart-protected zombie, a player-disguised Faker Zombie, explosive Boom and Dinemite zombies, and a Spitter that attacks by spitting. Other threats include the Nectomancer miniboss, which can summon additional hostile creatures, a Parasite Zombie whose offspring can infect other zombies, a Miner that throws block-breaking pickaxes and carries temporary living blocks, and the stronger, faster BUFFF Zombie. Players can use Dinemite and the Mineshield, which grants a speed boost when held in the main hand while crouching and provides directional protection when held in the off hand. Gamerules let players customize zombie behavior and spawning, choose an initial infection stage, or disable custom zombies; commands can check infection progress or set it to a later stage. When enabled through a gamerule, parasite creatures may leave flesh that forms a spreading Parasite Block, which can itself spread after being placed.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.2.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
