SaltyMod builds a salt-centered resource, farming, food, and decoration system, adding salt ore and rare dry salt lakes as sources for salt and related materials. Salt can be mined or produced by evaporating liquids in a fuel-powered evaporator, then used to season food, make pickles, and prepare dishes such as fish soup, fruit salad, pickled fern, and carrot or mushroom pies. Seasoned foods can satisfy hunger longer, while the mod’s recipes also include saltwort dishes and a muffin that grants a two-minute saturation effect when eaten as dessert after filling most of the hunger bar. Saltwort grows in sunlight on saline soil without water; as it grows, it depletes the soil’s salinity, so growers must add salt before replanting, and larger plants yield more crops. Saltwort can be made into salads, pies, pickles, or a raw food with effects of varying strength and duration, while its ash mixed with water makes a fizzy drink that removes effects and extinguishes fire. Salt crystals can be cultivated on salt blocks in a covered, shaded setup with water nearby, growing through several stages before they can be harvested; they also kill slugs and witches. The mod adds extensive salt-themed building blocks, including bricks, pillars, slabs, stairs, and lamps; packed salt blocks melt nearby snow and ice, and salt lamps provide dim light. Mineral mud from beneath salt lakes can be crafted into armor that improves and slowly regenerates health, but is weak against damage and can be washed off by water. Salt lakes, saline soils, and saltwort crops found in desert and jungle temples extend the salt system into world exploration, and the configuration allows adjustment of salt-lake and ore generation.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.15.2.
Adds 24 blocks, 84 items, 117 recipes and 17 advancements.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.15.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.15.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
