About
Rustic is a medieval-themed Minecraft mod centered on decoration, exploration, and agriculture, with additional alchemy and brewing systems. Its building and furnishing options include slate and stone pillars, painted wood in 16 colors, clay walls, lanterns, candles, chains and ropes, gargoyles, tables, chairs, chandeliers, cabinets, pots, and barrels. Some decorative pieces have practical or customizable behavior: ropes and chains can serve as ladders, chairs let players sit, connected tables form shared surfaces, and pots offer multiple selectable designs. Agriculture adds bees, fertile soil, crop stakes, olive and ironwood trees, apple trees, and crops such as tomatoes, chili peppers, grapes, wildberries, and herbs. Apiary bees reproduce, produce honeycomb, and accelerate nearby crop growth; honeycomb can be turned into beeswax or honey, then used in elixirs, drinks, or mead. Growing and harvesting have distinctive interactions: grape vines spread along overhead ropes, while tomatoes and chili peppers climb crop stakes and can be harvested from their plants. The crushing tub turns eligible solid ingredients into liquids when players jump on it, while the evaporating basin processes liquids over time to extract items. Alchemy uses condensers to brew elixirs, and the brewing barrel ferments liquids into drinks such as wine and mead, with culture booze helping reduce variation in the quality of the result. An in-game Almanac explains the mod's features, and CraftTweaker integration lets modpack makers add or remove recipes for its custom crafting systems. When Dynamic Trees is installed, Rustic's olive and ironwood trees become dynamic, while its apple trees are replaced by Dynamic Trees apple trees.
