    About

    Serene Seasons Better Winter is an addon for Serene Seasons that gives deciduous trees a dormant-season appearance by hiding their leaves during configured leaf-drop seasons, which default to late autumn and winter. Conifer and jungle foliage remains visible, so winter landscapes keep their evergreen trees while deciduous canopies become bare. The mod also hides floating snow layers above concealed leaves and small blocks hanging beneath them, such as apples and cocoons. Optional server settings can let entities pass through the hidden leaves and snow, adjust their light blocking, and announce leaf-drop and leaf-return transitions in chat. Datapack block tags let users customize which leaves disappear or stay visible, including leaves from Dynamic Trees. An experimental, optional Distant Horizons integration can hide leaves in distant terrain and refresh its level-of-detail view as seasons change.
