    Simple Shelves adds multipurpose shelves for displaying books and other items, available in all eight vanilla wood colors. Each shelf has four quadrants: a quadrant can hold up to three stacks of books or one stack of generic items, for up to 12 books per shelf. Players can place books directly onto a shelf and take them out with an empty hand; hoppers can also move books, enchanted books, redstone books, and items that can be placed on lecterns. Crafted from a book and a redstone torch, redstone books make a shelf emit a redstone signal from its rear, with the signal strength set by the fullest redstone-book slot.
