Better Animals Plus expands Minecraft’s wildlife with more than 35 creatures, adding passive animals, hostile mobs and a miniboss alongside related items, food, blocks and armor. Its animals inhabit varied environments: deer and squirrels live in forests, horseshoe crabs appear on beaches and in oceans, reindeer roam cold biomes, and tarantulas and coyotes inhabit warmer regions such as deserts and jungles. Their behaviors range from deer fleeing larger mobs and squirrels scrambling up trees to badgers throwing dirt when attacked and boars hunting smaller creatures. Some creatures also offer unusual interactions: lammergeiers drop skeletons to break their bones and can be tamed with bones, while fish can be used to befriend octopuses, which then assist as allies. Other wildlife brings danger or variety to aquatic encounters, including jellyfish that inflict poison and blindness, predatory giant and colossal squids, and piranhas that attack weakened targets; flying fish leap and glide above warm seas. The mod works on its own and supports both Forge and Fabric; its spawn settings can also be adjusted to control whether creatures appear and which biomes they inhabit.

No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12 to 1.19.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12 to 1.19.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
