Sky: Origins adds a Sky Kid origin inspired by Child of the Light from Sky: Children of the Light, adapting its light-based abilities and vulnerabilities for Minecraft. The Sky Kid stores Light that can be recharged from nearby light sources, and that Light shields them from damage until it runs out. A special cape lets the player glide and spend Light for a short forward boost, while Sky’s Call can briefly make them glow or use Light to heal nearby allies. The small, delicate character has limited health, can crouch through one-block gaps, cannot use shields, and gives up chest and leg armor because those pieces hinder flight. Darkness weakens the Sky Kid unless they carry a suitable light source, they cannot sleep in darkness, and wet weather in colder or swampy biomes drains Light; they are also immune to fire damage but take greater harm from lava. Winged Light dropped by Phantoms can temporarily increase maximum health, while Phantom kills by a Sky Kid can also yield one of nine colored capes that change the color of their wings.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 2 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Libraries packed inside it change 57 more game code files: Apoli, Additional Entity Attributes, Cardinal Components API (entities) and 2 more.
Adds 12 items, 1 loot table and 13 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
