    Soulus turns mob farming into a progression system built around restoring life from the remains of creatures, with configurable features that can be disabled for modpacks. Players collect fossils to extract creature essence, then use it to summon real creatures; early summoning is slow and requires staying near the Summoner. Progression unlocks technologies that make Summoners faster and more convenient, leading to automation that uses spawned creatures for crafting and a beacon-like device that lets Summoners work without the player nearby. The mod also supports broader mob-farm automation through contraptions and upgrades, including automatic marrow processing with a composer cell and oscillating gear, and dispenser-based insertion of upgrades. Other additions include wolf taming with Soulus bones, soulbooks that can be combined to consolidate essence, and a skewer with a looting upgrade that can produce bottles of enchanting.
