    About

    Splendid Slimes is a data-driven resource-generation mod built around raising slimes, inspired by slime-ranching games such as Slime Rancher and Stardew Valley. Feed slimes foods that match their diets and they grow, become happier, and produce Plorts; favorite foods can yield extra Plorts. Plorts can be processed into resources with a Plort Rippit, which uses weighted results, or pressed into Slime Hearts that grow into new slimes in an incubator. The mod includes 19 default breeds with distinct diets and behaviors, including explosive slimes, slimes that teleport toward food, and floating slimes. Combine two breeds by feeding a Pure Slime a Plort from another breed to create a Largo, which inherits both diets and produces both kinds of Plort; feeding it a third breed’s Plort turns it into a Tarr that attacks and corrupts other slimes. Slime happiness shapes their behavior: happy slimes perform positive effects, sad slimes become more prone to negative behaviors, and furious slimes attack players and stop producing Plorts. The Slime Vac lets players scoop up and launch slimes, as well as shoot food for remote feeding; Rocket Pods provide explosive movement with strong knockback. Corral blocks and panes keep slimes penned while allowing players and mobs to pass, and a Slime Feeder can automate feeding while accounting for traits such as Picky. The mod is customizable through data and resource packs: creators can define new breeds, diets, traits, behaviors, Plort outcomes, and textures, making it suitable for adding slimes tied to modpack content.
