    About

    SwemCull improves rendering performance for SWEM and SWEM Lite horses by batching their tack into fewer draw calls and skipping horses that are outside the view or hidden behind walls. It preserves full detail for horses you ride, lead, or look at, as well as horses carrying riders, while distant horses progressively lose small tack details and then their mane and tail before the horse itself is culled. Armour, blankets, leg wraps, and wings remain visible at range, and zooming in with a spyglass or zoom mod restores a distant horse’s detail; the mod also prevents tack from flickering through the horse or itself. Players can choose quality-to-performance presets or use adaptive mode to adjust rendering distances toward a target frame rate, with an overlay showing how many horses are drawn, hidden, or skipped. It works client-side on any server and is compatible with SWEM Addendum and Addendum Plus, shader options Iris and Oculus, and performance mods including Sodium, Embeddium, and ImmediatelyFast.
