Thaumic Bases is a Thaumcraft 4 addon that expands Thaumcraft with new resources, tools, devices, plants, decorations, recipes, and enchantments, while aiming to keep its additions balanced and in keeping with the mod’s themes. Resource-growing plants provide materials such as iron and gold nuggets, string, void seeds, auram, sugar, lapis, redstone, knowledge fragments, and flux; the addon also adds golden oak trees and other new trees. Briar can be made into stackable Rosehip Syrup that acts like milk without removing buffs and also affects warp, while tobacco can help remove warp and summon wisps. For crafting and progression, it adds many alchemical recipes, including wool-to-string processing and making blaze rods from blaze powder, as well as a way to obtain 12 shards from one ore. Thaumic Bases adds better metals for tools, armor, and shears, two early-game armor sets, improved wand caps, two wand cores, more void tools, and three kinds of spikes that can attack enemies, including through a fake player. Its devices include an entity deconstructor for mobs, a faster alchemy furnace, an overchanting table that can raise enchantments beyond their usual maximum, better anvils, and side-mounted arcane levitators that can be rotated with a wand. A new aura-node management system lets players manipulate nodes in different ways, including turning them into hunger nodes, and crying obsidian obelisks can set a spawn point. Five enchantments can be obtained through a regular enchanting table, an infusion altar, or the Thaumic Tinkerer’s table; their effects include harming eldritch creatures, inflicting taint poison, and gaining knowledge, aspect orbs, or crystallized essentia from defeated mobs. The addon’s researches and recipes are collected in its own Thaumonomicon tab, with some research unlocked by completing vanilla Thaumcraft research first.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.8.9.
Adds 66 blocks, 41 items, 5 enchantments and 13 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.8.9.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.8.9.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
