A challenging magic modpack built around Thaumcraft and crafting.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 134 graded mods, 55 are graded A or B, 17 C and 62 D to F. Its last update came out 4 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
Thaumic Industries is an expert magic modpack built around Thaumcraft 4, designed to make its progression more demanding and interconnected for players seeking a challenging PvE experience. Thaumcraft’s research, Aspects, Essentia, infusions, and Arcane Matrix are expanded by more than 30 addons, while Botania, Blood Magic, and Witchery offer additional magical systems built around flora, blood rituals, and witchcraft. Immersive Engineering is the pack’s sole technology mod, providing a restrained technological counterpoint to its magical focus. Recipes and crafting have been extensively reworked, making progression deliberate and encouraging players to plan across the pack’s different systems. A questline guides players through the rebalance and new mechanics, including crucible, Essentia, and matrix progression. The world is more dangerous to traverse, with tougher enemies and threatening dungeons, and the pack adds the Twilight Forest and Ender Expansion dimensions for further exploration. Everyday quality-of-life additions include Fast Leaf Decay, Dynamic Lights, Gravestones, and SimpleHarvest, while performance-focused mods help keep gameplay smooth.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 27 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 16 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 132 of its 137 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 128 of its 134 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 64 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
1 other mod shows AI use only from after this release (27 Sep 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
70 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
