The Lord of the Rings Mod: Renewed brings Tolkien’s Middle-earth, drawing on The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion, into Minecraft as an expansive adventure world. Its custom dimension follows a Middle-earth map across more than 100 biomes, with regions such as the Shire, Evendim, Fangorn Forest, the Blue Mountains, and Mordor, alongside distinctive terrain including northern tundra, chalk hills, and marshlands. Generated roads wind across the landscape, while map waypoints support fast travel; datapacks can customize the map, waypoint locations and names, and road routes, or use an image to generate a different world map. Combat features weapons with different speeds and reach, and the world is populated by Middle-earth faction NPCs whose dialogue can respond to their surroundings; NPCs include groups such as Isengard Snagas and Gundabad orcs. Wargs are one of the added creatures, with a leaping attack that can disable shields, while caracals also appear in Middle-earth. Other systems include custom crafting and smelting stations, brewing drinks in kegs, and pouches dropped by NPCs that expand inventory space and can be named or dyed. Datapacks also let players configure crafting, smelting, and keg-brewing recipes, as well as NPC faction alignments and alignment values. Visual details include a distinctive night sky, northern lights in Forodwaith, and the dark skies and charred trees of Mordor.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15.2 to 1.16.5.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15.2 to 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15.2 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
