    About

    Unusual Prehistory 2 is a remake focused on uncovering fossils and bringing prehistoric plants and animals back to life. Fossils can be found in surface biomes including plains, badlands, stony shores, mountains, and swamps; brush away the surrounding matrix to expose fossil beds, then excavate them with a pickaxe. Revival requires a transmogrifier found in occasional abandoned forest labs, fueled by organic ooze crafted from rotten flesh, slime balls, milk, and sugar; with Farmer’s Delight installed, the ooze is made in a Cooking Pot. Revived creatures include marine and freshwater animals such as Dunkleosteus, Diplocaulus, Stethacanthus, and Onchopristis, alongside land animals such as Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Kentrosaurus, and Megalania. The creatures have distinct behaviors and interactions: for example, Diplocaulus can dash through water, Metriorhynchus can be tamed with a bucket of tropical fish, and Carnotaurus can charge, headbutt, and roar. The mod also adds prehistoric plants, ambient creatures that emerge from plants, fossil-site structures with era-based loot, and a Paleopedia guide with entries on creatures and progression.
