Explore ancient worlds, find fossils, and bring dinosaurs back to life.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 273 graded mods, 213 are graded A or B, 51 C and 9 D to F. Its last update came out 8 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Prehistoric Odyssey is a dinosaur-themed modpack about exploring prehistoric worlds, surviving ancient eras, and bringing extinct life back through science. On the time-travel path, defeating the Henos unlocks portals to three dimensions inspired by the Mesozoic, with period-themed biomes and more than 90 extinct species to discover. Alternatively, players can find fossils in the Overworld, extract DNA, and use laboratory technology to revive ancient creatures and plants. The in-game Encyclopedia of Prehistory helps players learn about the revived life, including its uses and lore.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 29 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 18 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 274 of its 276 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 269 of its 271 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
