    About

    Veil is a collection of rendering and game-engine tools for Minecraft mod developers, intended to support more advanced, modern visual content. Its rendering features include configurable framebuffers, a post-processing pipeline that links shader stages and textures, support for OpenGL shader stages, and JSON-based injection into existing shaders without replacing the whole shader file. Mods can use deferred lighting with point, area, and directional lights, as well as dynamic buffers for albedo, normals, and lightmap data that can be used in later rendering passes. Veil also provides Quasar, a data-driven particle system built around emitters that control particle timing and spawning, and Flare, a data-driven effects system that supports model-based shells and configurable properties. The Necromancer animation API lets developers build bone-based skeletons and animate models, with bones interpolating between per-tick animation data. Additional utilities include color manipulation and themes, easing functions for smoother motion, and local or global camera shake effects.
