Lightweight modpack featuring a zombie survival in Minecraft.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 302 graded mods, 262 are graded A or B, 30 C and 10 D to F. Its last update came out 11 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Zombie Apocalypse: Optimized is a lightweight modpack for open-ended survival in a world overrun by a zombie apocalypse, with no quest system. Expect zombie hordes, infections, destruction, realistic and intelligent zombies, and blood moons, alongside guns, traps, light gore, and an overhaul to fire spread. The pack also adds biomes and structures, overhauls vanilla structures, and provides building blocks, Farmer’s Delight, multiplayer support with voice chat, and a large mining dimension accessed through a crafted portal.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · Fabric, 26 Nov 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 22 Nov 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 304 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 285 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 20 of the 285 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
