About
Voxy Server Side sends distant terrain data from a multiplayer server to connected clients, so players using Voxy can see a detailed landscape across hundreds of chunks without first exploring it. It also supports far players: distant players can appear in the terrain as models with name tags, equipment, and mounts, while clients can choose whether to share their location. Server operators can enable LOD storage to reduce repeated processing, adjust delivery distance and bandwidth, and configure privacy and distant-player policies. The mod can write downloaded terrain into Xaero’s World Map or JourneyMap, filling in map areas far beyond ordinary render distance; this map integration can also work without Voxy. It can run alongside Distant Horizons on the same server, allowing servers to support both Voxy and Distant Horizons clients. The project supports Fabric and Paper servers, with additional NeoForge and experimental Sponge support on specified server lines, and is compatible with integrations such as AntiXray, Moonrise, C2ME, and ViaVersion/ViaBackwards.
