About
Woodlands: The Core refreshes vanilla-biome world generation, aiming for more varied landscapes and more realistic, larger trees while keeping vanilla blocks and the existing biome distribution. It changes trees, flowers, and ground cover across familiar environments such as jungles, forests, swamps, cherry groves, taigas, snowy plains, and mushroom islands, with distinct old-growth birch, pine, and spruce settings also represented. Many of its handmade, complex trees have leaves that do not decay normally; optional tree-felling mods such as TreeChop, Tree Harvester, or Panda’s Falling Trees can help manage them, with Tree Harvester and Panda’s Falling Trees also offering leaf-clearing behavior after a trunk is felled. The project is intended for vanilla biome distribution rather than adding custom biomes, and should not be installed alongside Woodlands:Extra, which is a separate project for custom biomes.
