Play as dragon, as bee, brain-stealer, desert claw, griffin and more! No hardcore for dragon fans.

Play as Dragon: Comfort Edition is a casual survival modpack built around Dragon Survival, with Create as its other global mod, for players who want to play as a dragon without the original mod’s restrictions or a punishing survival experience. It advertises playable forms including dragons, bees, brain-stealers, desert claws and griffins, and adds dragon-themed addons such as Wing Kirin, Megarria Dragons, Fairy Dragon and Frostfire Dragon. The world is geared toward relaxed exploration, with abundant surface wildlife and pets, no phantoms or roaming undead, and enemies mainly found in spawners and the deepest caves. Dragons have no item restrictions or innate debuffs, animals do not flee from them, and their magic is enhanced. Progression is intended to be fast and approachable: players start with a gold backpack and food, and can pursue optional achievements instead of lengthy quests. On death, players keep their armor, Curios, hotbar and half their experience, while their other belongings remain in a persistent grave; peaceful animals also drop more meat, skins and feathers. The pack also includes updated skeleton, cat and dog textures and a dark interface theme for its mods.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.1.2 · NeoForge, 12 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked all 113 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 102 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 3 of the 87 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
7 other mods show AI use only from after this release (12 Sep 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
15 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
