About
YAML Config is a shared configuration library that lets Minecraft mod developers define settings and gives players and server administrators an in-game interface to edit them, rather than adding blocks or items of its own. Its automatically generated menu gathers settings from compatible mods, organizes them into categories, and provides controls for values such as booleans, numbers, text, dropdown options, lists, and maps, with per-setting reset controls. The library validates entries such as numeric ranges and text patterns, flags invalid input, and supports typed values including Minecraft registries and enums. Developers can store configuration files in YAML, JSON5, TOML, or HOCON, and define client, server, or common settings; server-side configurations can sync to clients when they join.
