Survive zombie hordes with guns, supplies, and other players.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 23 graded mods, 16 are graded A or B, 4 C and 3 D to F. Its last update came out 6 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.18.2. See the mods
Crafting Dead turns Minecraft into a zombie-apocalypse survival experience focused on scavenging, combat, and staying alive in a world overrun by the undead. Explore ruined cities, abandoned military bases, and rural outposts, searching buildings for supplies, weapons, and food while environmental clues such as hidden notes and deserted shelters add atmosphere. Survival brings firearms, melee weapons, and explosives alongside limited ammunition, zombies with varied speed and aggression, and hordes that grow faster and stronger at night. Guns can be customized with attachments and paints; combat includes recoil and reload mechanics, while medical supplies such as first-aid kits, adrenaline, and bandages help players recover or escape danger. Salvaged materials can be used to craft weapons, ammunition, bandages, antidotes, and food, and loot crates offer a chance to find rarer equipment. Players can survive alone or cooperate and compete in multiplayer, forming factions, scavenging together, building fortified bases, and taking part in PvP, zombie fights, and roleplay scenarios.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 11 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 10 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 24 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 24 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 14 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
10 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
