Survive an alien infection as it spreads across a ruined world.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 62 graded mods, 44 are graded A or B, 13 C and 5 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Dawn of the Flood is a survival-focused modpack built around an alien Flood infection spreading across the world, challenging players to survive with the resources at hand or be consumed by the outbreak. Its content includes Flood-themed mods alongside hostile-mob and horde additions such as Flood Infestation, The Hordes, Enhanced AI, and BadMobs, as well as security and explosives mods including SecurityCraft, Charged Explosives, and Throwable Explosives. The world is expanded with terrain and biome mods such as Terralith, Regions Unexplored, and William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld, plus settlements and exploration sites from Towns and Towers, Villages & Pillages, Dungeons Enhanced, Philips Ruins, and YUNG's Better Dungeons. Other included content ranges from Create and its Create Deco and Create: Oppenheimered additions to Ad Astra, Alex's Caves, Dynamic Trees, Spartan Weaponry, and Spartan Shields.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 1 Oct 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 62 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of 58 of its 59 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (1 Oct 2024) in the 59 mods we checked.
5 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
