A small modpack focsuing on the error 422 creepy pasta
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 38 graded mods, 32 are graded A or B, 5 C and 1 D to F. Its last update came out 7 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Error 422 is a small horror modpack built around reviving the Error 422 Minecraft creepypasta, with quality-of-life additions alongside its main horror mod. The horror effects can make health, hunger, and armor indicators unreadable, glitch the screen, randomly replace blocks, play loud noises, and trigger jumpscares. For convenience, the pack also lets players mine large ore veins at once and makes chopping down whole trees easier.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 4 Apr 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 21 Sep 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked all 38 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 38 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 37 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
