A pack that boosts frame rates and smooths out gameplay.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 39 graded mods, 23 are graded A or B, 10 C and 6 D to F. Its last update came out 10 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
FastForge is a Forge modpack focused on improving performance by increasing frame rates, reducing stutter, and smoothing chunk loading and world travel. It combines graphics and rendering optimizations such as Oculus shader support, Rubidium Extra, Sodium Dynamic Lights, and Entity Culling with AI and vanilla-logic optimizations including AI Improvements, BadOptimizations, and Mobtimizations. For smoother world loading and saving, it includes DimThread, Ksyxis, BetterChunkLoading, ChunkSending, and FastAsyncWorldSave. FastSuite, FastFurnace, and FastWorkbench speed up crafting and related logic, while FerriteCore, Placebo, and MemorySettings target lower memory use; GPU Memory Leak Fix and NotEnoughCrashes address long-session lag and crash recovery.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 19 Dec 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 39 of its 41 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 39 of its 41 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 27 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
14 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
