Face tougher zombies in a lightweight, familiar-feeling apocalypse.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 48 graded mods, 34 are graded A or B, 9 C and 5 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.18.2. See the mods
Menethis’s Zombie Apocalypse is a lightweight modpack that reshapes Minecraft into a vanilla-style survival experience in a dangerous world overrun by zombies. It features fewer types of hostile mob but tougher zombies, which do not burn in sunlight, alongside guns, a revive mechanic for fallen players, and revised health and food systems. Survivors can search buildings in Lost Cities and explore new and improved underground structures for supplies, while modified loot preserves access to almost all Minecraft achievements. The challenge includes a day counter, seasons, and difficulty that increases with the days, encouraging players to survive for 151 days or longer. Multiplayer groups can cooperate to pursue survival goals or form factions and fight one another. A world map, darker HUD, enhanced sound, animations, visuals and particles, and shaders contribute to the atmosphere, with performance optimizations supporting the lightweight design.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 6 Jun 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 3 Jun 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 48 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 42 of its 43 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (6 Jun 2022) in the 36 mods we checked.
1 mod shows AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
7 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
