Adds a full screen world map which shows you what you have explored in the world. Works great together with Xaero's Minimap.
Xaero's World Map provides a self-writing, full-screen map that records the terrain you have explored, giving you a browsable view of your world without manually creating paper maps. You can pan and zoom the map, customize its terrain shading, view recent paths as footsteps, and use optional vanilla-style map rendering or cave maps for dimensions such as the Nether. Maps can be kept separately for multiple worlds on the same server address and selected manually or automatically, helping distinguish sub-servers and different world saves; automatic server-controlled selection requires the mod on the server. The map works in singleplayer, multiplayer, and Realms, and can display chunk claims and allied players from Open Parties and Claims, with options to claim or forceload chunks directly from the map. With Xaero's Minimap or Better PVP, the map can show minimap waypoints and lets you create, edit, manage, and teleport to waypoints without leaving the map interface. Additional tools include filtering and managing waypoint sets, exporting the map as a PNG, and refreshing map visuals when resource packs change. Server-side settings can control how players use map features, including access restrictions and cave mode, and can be tied to ranks or permissions through integrations such as FTB Ranks, Odyssey Roles, and LuckPerms.

Changes the game's code in 7 areas: Server and world logicChanges 5 game code files in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules., Rendering and graphicsChanges 5 game code files in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen., User interfaceChanges 4 game code files in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay., PlayerChanges 4 game code files in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls., Networking and multiplayerChanges 2 game code files in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server., Chunk loading and storageChanges 1 game code file in this area: how the game loads, tracks, saves and unloads chunks. and Game coreChanges 1 game code file in this area: the main loop, lighting and other code the whole game uses..
A library packed inside it changes 6 more game code files:
XaeroLib.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
A Warning in its files for older Minecraft versions (1.10.2 to 1.16.1): it downloads code over an unencrypted connection (http) from data.chocolateminecraft.com. Someone on the same network could replace it.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends nothing about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 2 web addresses while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
These projects do not work together with Xaero's World Map: their authors or Xaero's World Map's author say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Xaero's World Map, so you only need one.

48,042 modpacks include Xaero's World Map in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.
Mods that modpacks often add together with Xaero's World Map. Share: how many of the modpacks with Xaero's World Map also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
