Bringing back the old console editions, one step at a time.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 73 graded mods, 46 are graded A or B, 11 C and 16 D to F. Its last update came out 2.2 years ago, for Minecraft 1.21. See the mods
Minecraft: Console Edition is a modpack that recreates the feel of the Legacy Console Editions in modern Minecraft, bringing back older interfaces, gamma behavior, and gameplay features through mods such as Legacy4J and Nostalgic Tweaks. It includes the TU30 tutorial world, controller support, and world generation inspired by versions ranging from Beta 1.7.3 through release 1.6.4, with options to configure how many older mechanics are restored. Modern Beta provides presets for early-release worlds and a Beta Xbox Legacy option for limited worlds, with structure generation disabled in the documented setups. The pack also uses Bedrockify and MidnightControls to contribute to its console-style experience, and includes the Legacy Console to Java Edition resource pack alongside Golden Days music and textures.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21 · Fabric, 27 Jul 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 27 Jul 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 77 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 73 of its 74 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 74 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
