A spooky survival pack with Herobrine and monsters lurking in the dark.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 21 graded mods, 10 are graded A or B, 9 C and 2 D to F. Its last update came out 2.4 years ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Spooky Survival is a lightweight, vanilla-style horror modpack that turns ordinary survival into an unsettling experience centered on encounters with Herobrine, the Cave Dweller Reimagined, and the Man From the Fog. Herobrine may stalk players as they gather resources or mine, the Cave Dweller threatens cave expeditions, and the Man From the Fog can appear at night to deliver a jumpscare. The pack also includes The End of Herobrine, Player Dweller, and The Twilight Forest, alongside visual and audio additions such as shaders, dynamic lights, and Sound Physics Remastered. Its dark nights and encounters can make even a routine mining trip feel dangerous.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 12 Jun 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 21 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of all 18 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 15 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
3 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
