A modpack that helps your game run more smoothly.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 9 graded mods, 8 are graded A or B, 0 C and 1 D to F. Its last update came out 4.1 years ago, for Minecraft 1.19. See the mods
VulkanAPI Unofficial is a lightweight modpack that gives players a simpler way to use VulkanMod, a Vulkan-based replacement for Minecraft’s default OpenGL renderer, with the aim of improving performance. The renderer reduces CPU and GPU overhead through terrain and chunk-building optimizations, section culling, and more efficient entity rendering; it also supports native Wayland and windowed fullscreen mode. Using it requires a graphics device that supports Vulkan, and compatibility is limited because mods that make OpenGL calls are unsupported, while some other mods may crash or have broken visuals. The pack is based on an unstable renderer, so users should expect possible issues.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19 · Fabric, 31 Aug 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 11 of its 12 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of 11 of its 12 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 11 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
