Better Vanilla is a 16x resource pack that refreshes Minecraft’s default-style textures while keeping close to the game’s original look, with changes that make them more vibrant, smoother, or more natural. Its visual changes include biome-specific skies, clearer water, brighter grass, varied grass, podzol and mycelium, more natural-looking crops, and smoother Nether blocks and diorite, andesite and granite. The pack also adds animated redstone and related blocks, improved sunrise and sunset lighting, and atmospheric sounds, alongside tweaks that address inconsistencies in vanilla textures. Gallery examples show custom night skies, rain and desert and extreme-hills scenes, as well as trees, saplings, a riverside view, a village and 3D telescopic pistons. Some features require OptiFine.

No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.11 to 1.13.2.
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
