About
ARTShade is a work-in-progress shaderpack designed to give Minecraft a stylized fantasy atmosphere, with visual presets ranging from Bright Fantasy and Dark Fantasy to Realistic, Pastel, and Vanilla. It gives the Nether and End their own lighting and mood, and reworks clouds to cast shadows while water gains foam, caustics, and colors that shift with depth and weather. Wind moves grass, plants, and foliage in passing gusts, while ambient effects include falling leaves, dust, birds, and ground mist; sky, water, and particles also take on biome-based colors. Lighting effects include godrays, screen-space shadows, subsurface scattering, stylized bloom and glow for emissive elements, and underwater effects, while wet ground becomes reflective in rain. Four performance tiers can be chosen independently of the visual preset, and the shaderpack supports Voxy, Distant Horizons, and RenoDX for HDR.
