Stracciatella is a lightweight, configurable shader that keeps Minecraft’s vanilla-style look while adding visual refinements and aiming for high performance. Its colored block and hand lighting makes light-emitting blocks tint and shade their surroundings, with HDR emissives and generated emissive textures adding glow. Fog and sky options let players tune distance, height, noise, and cave fog, customize sky and fog colors, and add custom stars and shooting stars; the Overworld and Nether also feature volumetric-like fog effects, including height-responsive and sweeping dense fog, with Distant Horizons support. The shader adds weather and motion details such as rain refraction, puddles, waving leaves, lanterns, fire, water, and lava, alongside damage and fast-movement effects. Players can adjust lightmaps, directional lighting, color grading, and custom color LUTs, as well as enable blinking ore highlights for diamond, ancient debris, iron, gold, copper, redstone, lapis lazuli, emerald, coal, Nether quartz, and Nether gold. Other options include anti-aliasing and upscaling, configurable block outlines, dithering to reduce banding, and terrain blending for Distant Horizons. Nearly all of its visual effects are customizable, allowing players to shape the shader’s look to their preference.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 33 shader programs, for the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Draws its own water, sky, clouds and weather.
Settings in English. Has programs for Distant Horizons.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
