    About

    AE2 Utility is an Applied Energistics 2 companion mod that streamlines moving recipe ingredients into machines and creating or uploading patterns from JEI and EMI. From ME, wireless, crafting, and wireless crafting terminals, players can fill a recipe from the ME network, or transfer ingredients from their inventory or wireless network into machine menus such as furnaces, smokers, blast furnaces, stonecutters, smithing tables, and AE2 inscribers. Before a transfer, it shows missing ingredient slots, can move a maximum batch, and can request autocrafting for missing ingredients when working from a terminal; built-in integrations also cover the AdvancedAE Reaction Chamber and ExtendedAE’s Crystal Assembler, Circuit Cutter, and Extended Inscriber. With a pattern-encoding terminal open or a usable wireless pattern terminal available, players can encode crafting, processing, smithing, and stonecutting patterns directly from JEI or EMI, including batches from a recipe page or machine category. Encoding supports item and fluid substitutions, ordered inputs, alternative ingredients, and duplicate checks against the ME network; patterns can be uploaded to matching ExtendedAE Plus providers, crafting patterns can be written to an assembly matrix, and supported structured patterns can be sent to Neo ECO AE Extension. The Recipe Finder opens a global JEI recipe filter for narrowing recipes by sample, source mod, machine, input or output material features, and exclusions, with an option to show only currently encodable recipes and encode selected results in a batch. Pattern-provider utility cards add two behaviors: an NBT Tear Card relaxes component or NBT matching for selected items or, with an empty filter, all items allowed by the server blacklist; a Redstone Signal Card signals provider activity with a dispatch pulse, an output-return pulse, or a continuous signal until completion. With JEI Crafting Tree installed, AE2 Utility can serve as the backend for editable pattern drafts, preserving alternatives, input order, exact amounts, and primary and secondary outputs while supporting processing patterns with up to 81 input slots and 27 output slots.
