Archeology Mod adds a vanilla-inspired archaeology system centered on exploring excavation sites, carefully brushing buried blocks for loot, and making decorated clay pots. Its Plains, Snow, Mangrove, and Desert excavation sites are the only natural Survival locations for Excavation Dirt, Gravel, Sand, and Red Sand, and can also contain loot-filled pots. Use a Copper Brush, crafted from a copper ingot and a feather, to remove layers from these striped blocks; brushing requires moving the mouse to avoid breaking the block, and the configurable challenge gets harder as the brush oxidizes. Brush wear also improves the chance of rarer loot, while drops depend on both the site and the brush’s oxidation; ceramic shards found during excavation bear site-specific designs. Place up to eight shards on a Raw Clay Pot, then heat it over a fire or campfire to harden it into a decorated pot; the four shard positions on its sides and four at its corners are preserved. Hardened Clay Pots can be dyed, and serve as gravity-affected containers with nine item slots that can be filled using a hopper or dropper; Silk Touch lets you retrieve a pot with its contents intact.

No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.17 to 1.19.3.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.17 to 1.19.3.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
