Dreamcraft is a broad modpack built around guided exploration and progression, bringing building, adventure, magic, and technology together through a questbook with more than 1,000 quests. Its world generation adds Overworld biomes through Terralith and new Nether and End environments, while Better Nether and Better End overhaul those dimensions. Exploration reaches the Bumblezone, five mining dimensions, the Twilight Forest, and space destinations including the Moon and Mars, where players can build a space station. The pack also adds dungeons and structures through mods such as When Dungeons Arise, Repurposed Structures, YUNG’s Better Dungeons, and Towns and Towers, with artifacts and gadgets to discover in dungeons, buried treasure, and End cities. Technology options include Create, Industrial Revolution, Applied Energistics 2, Tech Reborn, and Compact Machines; magic-focused choices include Spectrum, Bewitchment, Botania, and Arcanus. For building and everyday play, Macaw’s mods add options such as roofs, doors, windows, bridges, and paths, while Waystones and Xaero’s maps support travel and navigation. New creatures, mobs, and bosses expand encounters, and built-in shaders can be turned off for players who prefer lower graphics demands.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 18 Jan 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 16 Jan 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 256 of its 258 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of 256 of its 258 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 17 of the 210 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
48 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
