    About

    AutoModpack is a server-and-client mod that helps private Minecraft servers keep players’ installations aligned with the server’s published modpack. A pack can include server mods, client-only mods, configuration files, resource packs, shader packs, and other files, with content drawn both from designated pack folders and from matching files in the server directory. Servers can divide a pack into a required core and optional groups, letting players choose bundles such as shaders, platform-specific mods, or alternate mod variants, with those choices retained across updates. On first connection, clients verify the server’s certificate fingerprint, review the download, and fetch the pack; matched files can be downloaded directly through Modrinth and CurseForge, while unmatched mod files require explicit risk acknowledgement. AutoModpack checks for published changes and applies updates, usually before the game loads, while in-game joining uses a review screen to show changes and request consent when the update would affect a player’s own extra mods.
