    About

    Preloading Tricks is a developer-only mod for extending Minecraft's mod-loading process at its earliest stages. It provides an SPI-based early entrypoint and callbacks for setting up language adapters, adding mod candidate paths before discovery, and querying or changing the mod list. Its Java Instrumentation-powered class transformation can modify classes that are already loaded, including Java core and classloader classes, with transformers configured through manifest files. For Forge-like loaders, it also lets developers detect Forge and NeoForge variants at runtime and restrict a mod to a specified variant, supporting variant-specific implementations.
