    About

    Better Library is a shared developer library for Minecraft mods, providing reusable configuration, villager-registration, and player-message systems rather than a standalone gameplay experience. Its configuration system lets mod developers define options with annotations, automatically save and load them as JSON, and provide players with an in-game editor where changes can take effect immediately. For villager content, developers can register professions, workstations, and level-based trades through a fluent API, or define professions and trades in JSON; settings include workstation search range, villager capacity, work sounds, and optional enable conditions. The join-message plugin system lets each participating mod show its own colored welcome or changelog messages, including clickable links, on a player's first join. A separate online-message system fetches text and link lists from remote files, allowing mods to publish updated announcements without requiring players to install a new mod version; it caches message data and displays content when it is new or changed.
