A very light modpack, featuring a solar catastrophe.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 162 graded mods, 161 are graded A or B, 1 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 2 weeks ago, for Minecraft 26.2. See the mods
The Solar Apocalypse is a challenge-focused survival modpack in which a progressively more destructive Sun forces players to adapt and survive in a changing world. The catastrophe escalates over the opening 100 days: surface blocks begin burning first, then exposed entities are threatened, and eventually heat consumes blocks and entities from around height 100 down to layer 0, even without sky exposure. Survival also involves changed creature behavior, dangerous timed events, seasonal farming that makes crop growth depend on the season, and more hazardous Nether and End dimensions. The pack includes performance and convenience features such as selected optimization mods, bug fixes, and in-game downloads for shaders, worlds, datapacks, and resource packs. It also offers equipment and weapons, large loot-filled dungeons, and home-decorating options alongside its survival challenges.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric, 10 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 10 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 162 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 158 of its 159 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 26 of the 159 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
