About
Renovated Vanilla Biomes refreshes the Overworld with more natural-looking trees and terrain features, changing the appearance of biomes ranging from forests, plains, taiga, and jungles to swamps, beaches, mountains, caves, and oceans. Its tree content includes redesigned oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, and swamp-oak trees, along with young trees, shrubs, bushes, and saplings; the jungle additions also include a cacao tree design. Rock formations include coastal rocks, ocean sea stacks, rocky outcrops, tor and butte rocks, inselbergs, and mountain peaks, with grassy, mossy, or icy variants in some locations. Other terrain details include muddy puddles, water-eroded ground, cave-mouth features, waterfalls, extra grasses and ferns, and scattered clusters of shrubs in plains. Water erosion distributes more gravel in cold biomes and more sand in warm biomes, while features such as outcrops and tor rocks have specific generation relationships, with tor rocks appearing on outcrops. A configuration file lets players toggle feature types, including water erosion and individual features in stony shores; when Dynamic Trees is loaded, it takes over the mod’s tree, young-tree, shrub, and sapling generation.
