Minecraft Fantasy Alive is a fantasy-focused modpack for players looking to turn exploration and survival into a more immersive adventure, with expanded structures, combat, gear, creatures, bosses, and sound. It adds more than 100 weapons, over 50 armor sets, over 100 structures, and more than 50 dungeons, alongside dynamic mob difficulty, new bosses, and tameable creatures and pets. At world creation, players choose a class, then explore, gather gear, and develop their character through a skill tree that awards points for unlocking skills. Looted gear receives a random modifier, which players can reroll at a grindstone, while backpacks provide extra storage for expeditions. Exploration also feeds into longer-term progression: players can search for 12 of the 16 special eyes needed to activate the End portal, and find scrolls and ink to use the spell system. The magic system includes spellbooks and spells, with a spell wheel for selecting spells to cast. NPCs such as the Angler, the Cook, and the Monster Hunter offer quests with rewards, while traders found around the world provide useful exchanges. A texture overhaul, RPG-style UI and HUD, and overhauled world generation give the pack a refreshed visual presentation, and it supports shaders and multiplayer.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 15 Aug 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 3 Aug 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 338 of its 341 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 25 of the 286 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
55 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
