About
BlockCarpentry lets you build functional block shapes that visually match other blocks, providing a way to customize structures without changing the underlying blocks’ behavior. It adds frame and illusion blocks in forms including cubes, stairs, slabs, doors, trapdoors, pressure plates, buttons, fences, fence gates, walls, beds, chests, panes, signs, slopes, and layered blocks. Right-click a frame or illusion block with a solid block to give it that block’s appearance; frames use a selected face texture across their sides, while illusion blocks follow the contained block’s model and corresponding faces. A texture wrench switches between different face textures, while a chisel selects alternate designs for supported blocks such as doors, trapdoors, fences, chests, beds, and walls; a paintbrush can change the color of some design details. You can also add light with glowstone dust or coal or charcoal, apply grass, snow, vine, or brick-style overlays, and dye glass details on doors and trapdoors or the pillow and blanket colors on beds.
