A modpack with quests, magic, technology, combat, and exploration.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 330 graded mods, 130 are graded A or B, 54 C and 146 D to F. Its last update came out 22 months ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
MC Eternal is a hybrid kitchen-sink modpack that combines exploration, combat, magic, science, agriculture, automation, and RPG-style play, with simple crafting recipes and optional quest guidance that lets players choose their own pursuits. Its quest chapters range from Introduction, Agriculture, Exploration, Magic and Spellcasting, Science, Advanced Science, and Space Exploration to Bosses and Challenges, with more than 1,000 quests and challenges offering rewards such as currency. Challenge objectives include collecting a million dirt, defeating every boss, building a Jaffa factory, and surviving 30 hours without dying, with difficulty and rewards varying across more than 30 challenges. Exploration brings custom dungeons, structures, and bosses, dangerous creatures pursued through a bounty system, secrets and collectables, and legendary artifacts; the custom Moon dimension features three unique bosses and more than 35 structures. The pack offers a broad range of magic and technology, from spellcasting and wizardry to factories, advanced automation, nuclear reactors, jetpacks, lasers, power suits, and modular rockets for space travel. Players can build a town with workers, citizens, and builders through MineColonies, keep tameable pets and creatures, and use a custom system to improve some pets' stats with specific items. A custom economy lets players choose a profession, sell goods through the player shop, and spend currency in a dynamic shop stocked with useful items and joke goods. Night and underground exploration can be especially hazardous: darkness makes bases and caves pitch-black without lighting and increases monster spawns, while certain ores are placed in specific dimensions such as osmium in the Beneath. Rats add a distinctly playful touch, including the spectacle of rats firing cheese from cannons.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 16 Dec 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 15 Dec 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 341 of its 343 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 340 of its 343 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 16 of the 177 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
166 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
