Fire spreads through wooden buildings and leaves charred blocks behind.

Burnt + Additions expands Minecraft’s fire into a destructive but resource-producing system: wood, leaves, and grass smoulder, burn, and spread, then leave charred block variants, with some blocks breaking into charcoal. Fires can be started with flint and steel, flame arrows, lava, lightning, or fire-starting barrels; rain dampens their spread, and players can use a fire extinguisher or a wind charge to put them out. Fire Barrels and more powerful Blaze Barrels explode after a delay, damaging nearby blocks and igniting surrounding areas, while burning buildings can collapse and fire produces smoke, embers, and ash. A wind system affects fire direction and intensity, flags indicate wind conditions, and biome climate influences how widely fires spread. The additions include Flint Bows, fire extinguishers, Molotovs, coloured flares, and Soul Ice, which is triggered by soul fire; flares can be placed, thrown, or wired to redstone as long-range smoke beacons. Sulphur trails carry fire up and down steps, and Terralith’s Yellowstone can generate hot springs, geysers, and geothermal vents alongside volcano-related additions. Wisps can help players find buried treasure, and Soul Flame offers another fire-related enchantment. Configurable spread and smoke settings let players tune the fires, while protected chunks and the world-saved /burnt noburn regions can keep designated areas fire-free. An editable block-mapping datapack lets players define how blocks from other mods behave when burned, and compatibility additions include toxic-smoke protection from Create diving helmets and Fracture Point gas masks.

No harmful code found
We checked its files without running them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.

We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
The author declares AI code on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Mods that modpacks often add together with Burnt + Additions. Share: how many of the modpacks with Burnt + Additions also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
