Medieval MC is a fantasy RPG and exploration modpack built around a medieval world, with quests guiding players through its adventures. Its world generation adds biomes and thousands of dungeons and structures, including grand capitals, taverns, trial dungeons, and an overhauled stronghold and fortress. Players can build a kingdom with MineColonies and StyleColonies, or pursue magic through Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and Ars Nouveau. More than 50 quests provide guidance, while Waystones and JourneyMap support travel and navigation. The pack also adds fantasy peoples such as elves, hobbits, dwarves, and orcs, alongside new places to explore such as the Aether's Cloud Biome and Brass Dungeon and the Lush Shallow Sea Biome. Exploration brings new challenges and rewards, including the Eye of the Storm boss, dungeon loot, and familiars such as the Illusionist, Plague Doctor, Scorcher, and Cleric, with distinctive items that interact with familiars. Mercenaries add another layer of world interaction: hostile bandits attack on sight, while contracted mercenaries have individual personalities and hobbies and can be assigned to patrol or follow. The collection contains more than 250 mods, customized for integration and compatibility, and includes shader support.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21 · NeoForge, 4 May 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 17 Apr 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 526 of its 532 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of 451 of its 455 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 43 of the 375 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
80 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
