Cognition is a magic-and-technology mod that expands how players store, move, generate, and spend experience, represented as the fluid Cognitium. Its Experience Obelisk converts XP into Cognitium for storage, can collect nearby experience orbs automatically, and transfers its fluid through pipes; it also accepts several other mods’ experience fluids, including Fluid XP, Thermal Experience, Industrial Foregoing Essence, Sophisticated Backpacks Experience, and EnderIO XP Juice. Players can bind an Experience Fountain to an Obelisk to dispense stored XP as orbs at selectable rates, or use the Fountain to fill XP-holding containers. The Memory Tablet links a player to an Obelisk for remote access within 48 blocks and lets that Obelisk recover some of the player’s experience after death, subject to its remaining capacity. XP generation also comes from Bibliophages, tiny mechanical creatures that infect bookshelves and digest them over time, producing experience orbs before the shelves decay into Forgotten Dust. Infected shelves can spread the infection to adjacent shelves, and the system also works with Archiver’s and Enchanted bookshelves, which differ in durability, XP output, and enchantment-table power. Other additions include the Enlightened Amulet, which gathers nearby XP orbs into one for easier collection, and the Fortuitous Amulet, which adds Luck II and shares that orb-gathering function. Cognitive tools and armor offer increased block and entity reach, while the mod also adds repair gel, XP-recovering and utility items, foods, and flasks that spend XP to place or remove liquids.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 20 blocks, 36 items, 93 recipes and 11 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
experienceobelisk-v1.4.5-1.18.2.jar, CurseForge experienceobelisk-v1.4.5-1.19.2.jar. 15 classes changed, 5 classes only in the CurseForge file, 2 classes only in the Modrinth file, in com.cyanogen.experienceobelisk: ExperienceObelisk, ExperienceObeliskBlock, ModBlocksInit, ModTileEntitiesInit, XPObeliskEntity$1, XPObeliskEntity, XPObeliskTileRenderer$1, Config$Common, ModFluidsInit, ExperienceObeliskOptionsScreen, ExperienceObeliskScreen, ExperienceObeliskItem and 10 more.We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Mods that modpacks often add together with Cognition. Share: how many of the modpacks with Cognition also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
